The novel method of application attracted much interest, and a video of the application was distributed on worldwide media including Reuters and Forbes.

The principal advantages of application by drones:

• it is a very accurate method
• it reduces labour and equipment costs
• very importantly, it enables access into very difficult locations. 

WaterGuard GOLD (for evaporation control) and Gladiator (for oil spill control) also lend themselves to application by drones, with the same advantages as Aquatain AMF.
